Jason D. Waz, PT
Jason has practiced physical therapy since 1996. He was born
in Buffalo, NY, but grew up on the west coast of Florida where many
elite athletes live and train. In 1994, he earned
his undergraduate degree in biological sciences and pre-medicine
from Florida State University. He earned his professional
degree in physical therapy from the University of Florida with high
honors in 1996. Jason began practicing in the Tampa Bay
area in 2000 and was named CEO of Ewing and Thomas Physical
Therapy just a short time later (2005.) He and his wife Jennifer
have one child.
Throughout his professional career, Jason has gained vast
experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. In addition
to having considerable experience treating common injuries, Jason
is proficient in the evaluation and treatment of
complex neck and shoulder injuries, neck and low back radiating
pain management and vestibular/dizziness conditions. Jason
has worked with athletes at all levels and in all major
team (and individual) sports. He has earned several clinical
awards while managing workers compensation cases.
Jason is an avid golfer and has used his knowledge of kinesiology
and biomechanics to train and rehabilitate golfers at all levels. He
received golf-specific training under Paul Callaway, PT, who
was the first director of Physical Therapy for the PGA tour. Jason
has educated PGA and LPGA tour professionals through educational
seminars and has used this expertise to develop a program,
designed to assess a golfer’s physical attributes
and maximize performance potential.
Jason’s proven track record with clients he
has had the privilege to treat over the past 10 years has inspired
him to adopt the phrase “Reputation defined by Results”. As
the co-founder of Competitive Edge, Jason will
encourage his staff to portray this image with each client
they treat. |
