Dave 'Hap' Hudson, ATC/L
Hap became the co-founder of Competitive Edge after
a long successful career rehabbing many professional athletes, mostly
in the Philadelphia Phillies and St.
Louis Cardinals Major League
Baseball team organizations.
While at the Phillies, he rehabbed
such players as Darren Daulton, Curt
Schilling, Lenny Dykstra,
John Kruk and most recently Scott Rolen. He also has treated Fred
(Crime Dog) McGriff as well as PGA tour player
John Huston and former
FSU and NFL quarterback Casey Weldon. Some of Hap’s star
pupils with the St. Louis Cardinals include Ozzie
Smith, Willie McGee,
Terry Pendleton, and Vince Coleman. His reputation as a premier
rehab trainer has led him to work with professional athletes in Japan
as well as Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
Hap’s career has included working with performance training
specialists to improve the athletic skills of elite, world class
level athletes as well as collegiate level basketball players at
the University of Louisville.
Hap is instrumental in connecting
with high school athletes, their parents and coaches in order to
help each student reach their potential through the promotion of
peak performance, health and fitness.
Hap is a graduate of Mississippi College where he was inducted into
the school’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He and his
wife Vonda have 2 children and live in Trinity, FL.
